Tools and Tips for CF Parents

Raising a child with cystic fibrosis can present many challenges. We often find ourselves in a strange and unfamiliar world: communicating with medical professionals in a language we might not quite understand, administering medical treatments, navigating the insurance and medical maze, and dealing with the day-to-day stresses that chronic illness brings.

Parents can feel overwhelmed until they develop the tools and skills to deal with the many aspects of life with CF. Education plays a key role in reducing stress, worry, and fear and increasing confidence and hope. This includes education about the nuts and bolts of CF as well as what works, and doesn't, in the way of child training, discipline and motivation.

The links below include articles, audio, and video clips which will give both parents and medical professionals practical tools, tips, and strategies for handling the many different issues CF families face.
